I'm in the process of separating from my husband and we need to have the maintenance conversation. I'm happy for him to pay me directly without having to go through CMS. For those of you who do it this way how do you decide how much the other has to pay? I've checked the online calculator and I think it seems a lot but I don't know any other way of working it out. Do you follow the amount CMS suggest or do you agree another amount between yourselves?
