Barclays Refund letter - help !

Hi there ,
I received a letter last Friday ( 31.7) telling me I was owed compensation from Barclays for previous mishandling of my account / debt in past. . I’ve checked it out and letter legit . I had to provide a new bank account detail ( no account with Barclays now ) and send it back .. sum is £2565!
Anyway - I was thrilled but then noticed I the date of letter was 10th July ... I was on my way out on Friday for the weekend so didn’t send letter back til wed ( 5.8) - it was only then I noticed it has to be within 30 days of date of letter and the ore paid envelope was 2nd class ... am now so upset I won’t get the payment . Has anyone else had this ?!

Contact Barclays again and tell them you received it on 31st July.

Yes I will do in the morning when they open but just wondered if anyone had experience of receiving the letter and refund . X

I’d be interested to know how if you managed to get it ? I’ve had a letter dated the 18th December but only received on the 26th Jan !

I had the same letter dated 9th July but I received it 20 days later. I sent back my form but still not received a payment. Have you received yours yet.

There's a good chance it'll be processed by someone who isn't paid enough to argue the toss over a couple of days or they will be allowed to give a bit of leeway as long as it's been sent roughly within the right window. I had similar - sent the package the day after the final date as I got dates mixed up and it was fine so fingers crossed! See what happens and argue if they do question it.
