Currently on very low income and get help with free prescriptions, dentist, glasses etc.

I need to find out at what earnings you stop getting this?

Is there anyway I can find out?

Thanks

i think as long as you are recieving tax credits/ income support/ jsa/ pregnant/ have a child under 1 you recieve help, ive got a little card in my wallet for prescriptions etc. i would imagine that as long as you still fall into any of these catagories you will still get it. not totally sure though

If it is connected to your tax credits I don't know the amount it stops at, but the card has an expiry date on it, and they don't ask for it back if your circumstances change part way through the year.

Have you called and asked the tax credits people?

You need to be earning less than £14-£15k. I can't remember the exact figure. I'll try to find the website I got that from.

£14,200.

I can't get a link to work though.

Jas · 02/10/2007 20:27

Here is a more recent version than my first effort. £15,050

NHS site says you can claim if under £16,000 but you have to apply seperately.

Hope some of this is some help to you.

Thanks ladies

DH has finally been offered the payrise he has fought for, its fab for him but won't actually help us much! We will lose our working tax credit completely plus free stuff. Hmmm

Thank you, I googled and googled earlier but couldn't find any information I was looking for!
