Ok I may be being really dense but can anyone help me unravel child tax credits/benefits and restarting work. I'm just about to start freelancing and I have no idea which ones will be affected 😵. I'm not going to be earning much just enough to cover the mortgage. Thing is I need to tell HMRC and to let them know that I won't have child care costs anymore either (starting school) but I'm not sure if this affects just the tax credits or just child benefit or both. Any advice/ help much appreciated 🙂
