Hi, we've recently noticed we have accrued an £856 in debit energy bill.
2 adults, one pre-scooler and a dog and we live in a 3 bed detatched bungalow and have been paying only £30 per month for both gas and electric! We've been giving our readings and expected it to go up but it hasn't. We've just noticed that we have been being sent the bills (Don't judge, my partner hasn't been checking these apparently😫) and we are in £856 of debit with them over the last 18 months.
This would mean our direct debits should
Have been around £80 per month. I'm just wondering what others energy bills are? Is £80 per month for both gas and electric average? Thanks

£90pcm for 2 people in badly insulated maisonette.

Not surprising you've accrued that much debt, you've peen underpaying by at least half .

We're £106 for gas and electricity combined. Averages at about £29 for gas, £77 for electricity. 3 bed semi with 2 adults and 3 teens/pre-teens. We've got an induction cooker and electric shower.

We are high users...and for a 3bed semi (2 adults 2 kids).. we pay £110 a month in winter and £40 a month in summer.

We are 2 adults and a dog in a terraced house and have elec and gas from British Gas.

Our Electric is around £35 pm and Gas varies from £12 (summer) to £90 (winter)

Have just looked at my spreadsheets and have calculated that our average bill for both in 2019 was £84pm

We pay £50 per month for gas & electrcity for a 3 bed detached new build, 2 adults and 2 children. We'd normally have a big credit through summer but we've been using more energy during lockdown as we've all been in the house all day and both adults WFH so laptops on all day for us and TV for the kids to keep them out of the way long enough for us to work!

£190 pm for a large 4 bed detached new build. There are 7 of us having daily showers/baths and the washing machine and dishwasher are on several times a day.
