Child benefit tax charge

Hi, we're going to start claiming child benefit but as my husband earns over 50k I believe we have to pay tax on it. Has anyone had this and can tell me how much tax you pay and if it's still worth doing?

You don't pay tax on it but it's tapered from 60k to 50k. How much you get depends upon your income

Use the child benefit tax calculator on the gov.uk website

If you are a SAHM it's worth it for NI contributions.
We are just over the 50k threshold. We complete a self assessment tax form every year anyway so it's no extra work for us really.
