Hi guys I've been on universal credit for about 2 years now, basically I had a email off uc earlier saying they owed me £412.80 because 'this is because we have recalculated your housing costs' what does 'this is because we have recalculated your housing costs' mean?? Because they normally pay £412.80 straight to my landlord but I'm confused as to why I have to pay it straight now? Thanks

The local housing allowances increased quite a bit from April so maybe that it is the reason why and they are just paying you back what they owe ? Is it a privately rented property ?

@Babyroobs I'm so confused tbh, yes it's a private rented property, but before it used to say 'we will pay (certain amount) to your landlord then I pay top up but it's not saying that now x

Yes it's probably because the LHA has risen from April so now they pay your full rent maybe?
