Uni and Universal credit

I'm wanting to start A course at the open university from October, this would be studying at home and I'd have a 6 month old.

I wouldn't be entitled to any maintenance loan or anything Like that.

I currently claim universal credit whilst I'm on maternity, does anyone know if starting this course would mean I'm no longer eligible for universal credit even though my income won't change?

Just can't afford to do it if I'll only be able to get my SMP.

Why aren't you entitled to a loan? Have you already got a degree?

No, it's because it's the open university so it's distance learning and you can't get a maintenance loan for that.

Yes you will still get UC. If you are currently getting smp as well then obviously you will be living on a lot less.

Thankyou I wasn't sure, I didn't want to go for it then not be able to afford to live, I'm only wanting to claim until I return to work then it'll be fine. Just I sore online that sometimes students can't claim UC so was worried about it.
