Limited Company - FreeAgent Software - Corporation Tax Return

I have a Ltd Co, and have moved over to FreeAgent software. Due to the Covid situation, I just downloaded the info onto a spreadsheet and emailed it to my accountant this year (I do everything else, payroll, VAT, PAYE). We didn’t have our usual annual catch up meeting, and it smarted a bit when we still had to pay him £1200 to do our Corporation Tax return.

I wondered if the FreeAgent software version of this was accurate enough for HMRC, and do we need to produce Unaudited Accounts for filing with Companies House?

Trying to cut our costs for next year, as our income has been badly affected due to shutdown.

Any thoughts? Do we still need an accountant, and if so, is £1200pa about right to do a CT Return and Unaudited Accounts?
