Hello,
The PayPal website is doing my head in, so I’m hoping someone here can help.
I want to buy something from Italy, and they have asked if I’d like to pay by bank transfer or PayPal. I know that there will be fees charged for both methods, and I’m trying to work out how much, and which is the better option. (If the charges are very high, I might decide not to go for it).
The cost of the item plus shipping is 239 euros.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Frankly I'd always go PayPal goods &services over bank transfer for protection even if the fees are slightly higher. I believe in your PayPal account it will tell you the currency conversion fee, and you should have that info available from your bank somewhere too.

PayPal - you get the benefits of the PayPal protection. Also PayPal usually give great exchange rates. Much easier than faffing about with international bank transfers. Pay goods and services though- recipient pays the fees.
