Hi I was my grans appointee.
On Friday she went into a care home.
A week ago social services were going to take over her finances.
She has no savings.
I rang up pension service last week and told them the situation.
Assuming no more pension would go into my account.
Her pension /pension credit and attendance allowance have gone in today.
What do I do with it ? Do I give it all to the care home?
Nobody has told me anything

I would call Age UK's helpline on 0800 678 1602, and ask them the question. They can help with money matters etc, and are open 8am to 7pm, every day

I'd put everything in writing to them and send it recorded delivery - don't forget they are different departments so several letters might need to be sent. Make them aware the payments are still being received. Let social services know too. It takes a while for social services to sort it all out so let the money accrue and no doubt a bill will come in eventually.
