Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone can help me.

In January I ordered sofas for my room from company x. Little company.

I paid a large deposit.

The man said it will arrive in 4 weeks. Then he said 6 weeks. Then he said 8 weeks. Then he said April! I lost my patience.

I asked for a refund but he wasn't having it and he was being very very rude.

I called the bank to dispute the transaction and see if I can get my money bank.

The bank refunded within an hour. Filled out form over the phone.

Two weeks later my ordered sofas turn up.

I call the bank and tell them they can take the money back.

I have called a few times as money is still there.

Anytime I call staff have no idea what is going on?

I keep bein transferred to different departments.

I know I spoke to two different people from the dispute team and she said its cancelled and they will take the money back within a couple of days.

That didn't happen. I call again and they said 14 days. It's gone past 14 days.

I can't be bothered to call again.
Waiting time 1 hour and they have no idea what's going on?

What do I do?

So worried I'm going to spend it!

Contact the company and re pay them?
Tbh that’s what I would have done in the beginning rather than contact the bank.

Hi @LadyFelicoaMontague thank you for the reply. Man was way to rude when I was expressing my concerns over the delivery and waiting so long. He was very rude so didn't want to talk to him. But I'm not sure if bank took the money from them?
When I made the dispute bank refunded me within the hour.

So the bank refunded the deposit? You still owe the balance anyway. How were you going to pay that? Do you have the invoice and delivery note?
