if inland rev owe you tax back and you do it online and tell them account number to refund it to how long does it take?

Mine took about 2 weeks (was only about £200). Dh's we are still waiting for 3 months on (but it is 40k+ and was v. v. complicated)

online it should be pretty quick. You can check in a couple of days to ensure it has been processed then chase them for the refund.

Took a couple of months for me to get mine back after my accountant submitted my accounts with the refund already calculated.

Dh has usually had it back within a couple of weeks.
Yesterday we got back some money that has been owing to us since the 2001/2 tax year.
