I am just interested how people go about money in case of death ( disaster clause)
how much percentage do people you leave for signlings, half -sibling (who did not live with us) and how much to extended: husband's sister, brothers and also to charity ( orphanage)?
Thank you

Why is it different if your death is the result of a disaster?

keyboardwithpaper · 09/05/2020 13:45

it is if disaster happens to the whole family, not just to me

We split ours 50/50, I have one sibling so I put them down as beneficiary for my half.

If he, DH and kids go together, my DSis gets 50% and DH’s 50% splits between his Sis and Brother.

Ours is 50/50 so dhs goes to his sister, mine is my two nephews - it needs updating though as since then I've had three nieces born. I have half siblings but we are not close so they are not included.

Lump sum to my DB to account what I inherited from my parents and then the remainder split 50:50 between DB and BIL.

HotDogGuy · 09/05/2020 14:00

We’ve split it between 2 of our friends and a lump sum for my niece and nephews

Ours would go in equal parts to our 4 siblings and, if they predeceased us, their share would go to nieces and nephews.

25% each to my four nieces and nephews.
