Any good mortgage deals around atm? And how long should I fix the rate for?

I know this is lazy but I'm overseas and was wondering if anyone has re-mortgaged recently? My fixed rate is about to expire & I need to find a new one. I have searched a few places online (Cheltenham & Gloucester, Natwest, Nationwide) & I'll make some calls but it would be useful to have a few leads.

TIA

If you try the Charcol online site, they have a very good list of what's what. Tell them what you want and they will give you the info from cheapest to dearest all in laymans terms. HTH

Second Charcoal online - far easier than seperate quotes. I know Chelsea had a good one - 6% cash back + a 5 year low fixed rate... there was someone else aswell (this was last year though) who had 5 years fixed low aswell, Ill try and hunt it out.

Thanks everyone. This is all a bit of a nightmare so I appreciate all help. Have looked at Charcol - it looks great! Has saved me hours. I'll give a few places a call over the next couple of days.
