Hi all, Im hoping someone can help, I had a job change in September within the same company but more hours and a little more money which meant it took me over the Tax threshold so had to start paying tax, I have calculated that I have paid around £720 tax since October. I have earned around £16,000 over the year. I am by know means saying that is a lot of tax, I am just wondering if I have earned enough over the year to have paid that amount of tax? Thanks Smile

Personal allowance was £12,500 so you would pay tax on difference £3,500 @ 20%, around £700.

You should get a p60 which will show the amount. If you have not done so already,
