I think it’s lies and deceit. If, however, they are telling the truth it won’t be long before new recruits leave because a lot of people won’t have money to throw down the drain.

I've spoken to someone today (in professional capacity, so couldn't say what I really think!) who has signed up to one of the weight loss MLMs because of all the people putting weight on in lockdown. She just wants to make some extra money.

RogueApostrophe · 06/05/2020 07:29

Well if the weight loss MLMs actually worked then certain Bots should be skeletal by now after all the C9s and Fat Burning Chocolate they've been ingesting...

More like shitting through the eye of a needle with all that crap they ingest....

Another one on Facebook - not sure which MLM she does telling the world how her business has just recorded a massive growth from last month of 300%. Is it me or have they all had a business boom in 28 days!
I can't see it myself - or is it more smoke and mirrors....

9dartfinish2nd · 06/05/2020 10:24

It would appear now that the other Nu Skin rep who was filmed undercover speaking at meetings during the Ellie Flynn BBC documentary has had his Ltd Company dissolved via compulsory strike-off, you may remember he was the person who was asked by Ellie's researcher about how you deal with people who are unsupportive towards your business.
So there you have it, both Nu Skin reps who featured in that programme have been the subject of compulsory strike offs. Yet they continue to portray the image of successful entrepreneurs on social media.

fromdownwest · 06/05/2020 10:38

I genuinely believe that they have had a boost. Between preying on the vulnerable desperate people who have lost jobs and or income.

In addition, I have seen first hand thousands of pounds worth of 'donations' be given to these parasitic scum bags to forward onto hospitals and care homes.

A little flutter of light has been given to these predatory narcissistic pond life scum bags.

It won't last, people will lose money, the top bots will make a short term quick buck, they will spend it on lavish household items or amazon deliveries.

They will rely on their directors loans to maintain an income, however, post Covid self employed taxes will rocket, corp tax will rise, divi tax will rise, and HMRC will be allocated all the resources they need to collect collect collect.

No more strike off and forget about it, if you portray a lifestyle of luxury and luxury items on your social media, then HMRC will be coming for you. I for one can not wait to see these people lose it all, and have an idea of what it is they have done to so many vulnerable people.

There are so many MLM threads on here at the moment. It gives a real sense of how the current economic insecurity is being tapped into by these sharks.

Whiterangey · 06/05/2020 13:42

They have definitely had a boom. Economic instability with a work at home oppurtunity that relies on the internet. How can that fail?

The boom will end soon enough though, it's very temporary and I'm guessing there won't be many more people wanting to sign up.

I saw Uber said that march was the best month since 2018. 2018 wasn't great for bots sio we'r aren't talking 2015/16 levels.

YouokHun · 06/05/2020 16:10

I was talking to some colleagues today and they are reporting a huge upsurge in MH clients saying they are being spammed/approached/offered gambling opportunities on and off line. This is among a population who are generally very poor, in unstable circumstances and definitely can’t afford to lose and in those circs taking a punt is the only possible option or seems worth a go. The gaming industry and MLM have many parallels and both feast off the same carcass at the same time. What a shame there isn’t a Gambling Commission equivalent for “trading schemes”. It feels like the recruitment frenzy is happening under the radar as usual and there’s nowhere to really to report it and no one watching the industry who has any clout.

Do you think the “boom” is a bubble of product purchases within the pyramid as people like Uber say “get it while you can before lockdown”? Robert Fitzpatrick has been saying that MLM’s confidence is misplaced.

Shhhhh223 · 06/05/2020 17:13

The MLM boom won’t last. People signing up now out of desperation will soon find they are wasting their time and go inactive. It’s so bad that bots are using this just to make them money and keep them up the pyramid rungs

Yawn's bff has congratulated her on getting to the highest car level plan available.
Surely she was already there before with her amazing bizniz.
No mention you have to take out the lease in your own name too. Obviously once she is declared bankrupt those cars will have to go back anyway.

grumpytoddler1 · 06/05/2020 19:26

An instamum that I follow has joined Nu skin, and I'm really annoyed. It's not like she didn't do ads or gifted items before, she did and I didn't mind. I don't object to being sold to on Instagram as long as I know I'm being sold to. Now she's banging on about this bloody stupid Nu skin lumi Spa, which is about £200, disingenuously going 'sooo many of you have asked about it or have told me how much you love it too!'

Clearly no one has asked about it. It's a £200 piece of plastic that you use to rub a cream in. It doesn't do anything and it's blatantly obvious that it doesn't.

Next thing she starts trying to recruit 'brand representatives'.

Pisses me right off when an influencer gets involved and gives MLMs legitimacy.

Bluewavescrashing · 06/05/2020 19:47

This set on nuskin website is £335!😳

I agree @Norma27, it’s all smoke and mirrors. Bots are blowing smoke up each other’s arses to make it look as if car plans and huge bonus cheques dated circa 2016 are recent. They’re just desperate to reel in more victims.

BSintolerant · 06/05/2020 21:29

Anyway, who needs a car plan and a C9 when you could have one of these? Tally ho huns!

Nurses raffle is going well. No takers yet. She's asking for payment for a C9 that she couldn't give away a month ago

spanfan · 06/05/2020 21:47

Anyone else seen PHd post about "aligning her energy"
She's just feeling a bit shit but flowers it up with THE most ridiculous psychobabble

"I'm living more in alignment with my human design and taking more notice of my energy"

What a complete load of guff. 😂😂😂😂

Tupperwarelid · 06/05/2020 22:00

Say what?

CodenameVillanelle · 06/05/2020 22:02

More proof that nurse bought her promotion with 2 c9s

BovvyDazz · 07/05/2020 04:43

PHD also admits in her live
-Only 1%/2%/3% in network marketing make money (but she can show you how to be in that %)

-She spent $15k on training at one time, $10k another time and $7-8k in last few months. That’s a pretty big dent already in her $500k over 6 years.

She knows full well network marketing does not work apart from the very lucky/cutthroat few.

fromdownwest · 07/05/2020 10:16

@bovvydazz - She is right down the rabbit hole isn't she. Clearly someone is pulling her strings and taking her money with glee.

No sympathy, as she is trying to do that to others.

It is so odd, a perpetual stream of coaches, coaching people to be coaches..

SSDGM · 07/05/2020 10:52

According to one of Broke’s friends, people only watch him because his life is great and they want to be him.

Has he got anywhere to live yet?

CompleteBarstool · 07/05/2020 11:11

Precious stone bot has said:

"I AM UNAPOLOGETIC A PRODUCT OF THE PRODUCTS I RETAIL" (sic)

Hmm Confused I'm not sure that's such a great admission
