If MermaidBot is making so much in bonuses and killing it why is she applying for Universal Credit?

grumpytoddler1 · 27/04/2020 09:54

Hi all

Long time lurker, occasional poster here. Re Home school bot, I think it's worth nothing that in the good times she rented this huge mansion (picture attached) in order to demonstrate her wealth and success and recruit more people into the scheme below her.

She also went to New York around Christmas time a couple of years ago on a 'no expense spared' trip, and used this to post lots of recruitment posts about how Forever Living had given her such a fabulous lifestyle. In addition, she had her children in private school for a time, had an array of designer handbags and luggage (pic she posted on Facebook attached) and in a display of extravagance paid for professionals to come and decorate her home for Christmas. All of this to demonstrate how fabulously wealthy her MLM had made her.

It was all either fake, unsustainable or both. She received six figure bonus cheques in the good times. She was at the very top of the Forever Living tree pyramid. Yet another of their totally fraudulent 'success stories'.

Homeschool isn’t John Lewis bot, is she? I’m a bit out the loop. Poor Broke. Thrown out by the Love Of His Life in the middle of a pandemic and all the Travelodges are closed.

grumpytoddler1 · 27/04/2020 10:06

@SSDM no this is a different bankrupt bot! But there are so many of them now it's difficult not to get them mixed up!

Spongebobette · 27/04/2020 10:14

homeschool clearly

  • thought the big bonus cheques were here to stay
  • made no savings or provision for the future

And hooked a LOT of people in by her constant showing off (including my friend who she encouraged to spend money she didn't have by setting 'incentives'etc)

No sympathy from me

acatcalledjohn · 27/04/2020 11:45

There is a certain irony that the bots who flashed the cash the most actually end up insolvent/bankrupt.

I mean, even thinking about winning the lottery, I would tie a good amount up in safe places, spread out over multiple things (e.g.: savings, pension, property, stocks & shares, etc), to ensure I have multiple pots I can get in to if the worst was to happen. I mean, none of those are without risk but at least I would be investing in my future, rather than just splashing the cash in the here and now.

These shills only care about their image. They only care about rubbing their success in others' faces with the aim to lure them in to make them even more money.

It's a combination of a total lack of business sense, stupidity and plain old ugly greed that they have ended up that way.

And that is why I do not feel one bit sorry for them.

acatcalledjohn · 27/04/2020 11:54

Whomever posted on Homeschool's insta (the post about not rubbing people's faces in it) asking whether her profession is brow artist:

Well played! Grin

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 27/04/2020 11:59

Homeschool has WRECKED her hair. What possessed her?! It's going to cost hundreds in colour correction once the salons reopen.

acatcalledjohn · 27/04/2020 12:02

Well, all that money that is rolling in on her bankrupt arse will surely pay for that? I mean, it's not like she is rubbing our faces in it...

YouokHun · 27/04/2020 12:34

MLM presents itself as the fast track to glamour. Pay your money and you’re instantly a CEO, an entrepreneur, a business owner. People like Homeschool are attracted to that; it’s something that is out of their grasp through the normal channels which require frustration tolerance, planning, justification of business plans, marketing and administration skills, an idea that is really one’s own etc etc.

But in MLM it’s a matter of luck; appearing at the right time (c2014?) so that you can build a huge downline; the only way to make money, no business acumen required. Next, feel comfortable with exploiting people by signing them up to something morally dubious; again, no business acumen required, just the ability to think in the here and now, to keep the pressure up on those downlines. No need to make wise plans for the future as acatcalledjohn mentions.

It’s a house of cards.

It would be interesting if we could line up all the people damaged by Homeschool’s activities to see exactly what her temporary millionaire’s lifestyle cost others, and how many paid. She’s clearly happy to go against the terms of her bankruptcy order and try to exploit people again. Sadly for her the MLM good times are over and she will never repeat it.

CodenameVillanelle · 27/04/2020 12:37

Broke's Facebook post is interesting, because he has someone saying that she wouldn't be happy with her boyfriend messaging so many women (leaving aside how immature that is for a moment) and several cheerleaders saying that it's MLM - you need to message people and make connections and that's how MLM works. It's like a tiny, dysfunctional microcosm of why MLM is so shitty.

CaroleFuckingBaskin · 27/04/2020 13:11

Can I have a hint as to homeschool please. Smile

CaroleFuckingBaskin · 27/04/2020 13:14

Dont worry I have her!

CompleteBarstool · 27/04/2020 13:57

OMG I've had an invite to an online Norwex party.

The name didn't mean anything to me but you just know don't you....

I searched these threads but I don't think they've been mentioned here since 2016.

UnapologeticallyUnhinged · 27/04/2020 13:57

Yes it seems Broke's page has gone again. Was interesting reading this morning. One of his friends saying he should stop drinking so much and that he and his gf/ex/gf/whatevs are 'bad piss heads' and always drinking and fighting. He replied with we weren't drinking when they broke up last night and then commented further down that he 'had one to many' yesterday to someone else. These Bots really cannot keep up with their lies. I'm sure they'll be back together by tonight. After all they've spent a fortune in 'essential' sex toys this month.

CompleteBarstool · 27/04/2020 14:16

Not to mention the photographic evidence of them with bottles of Desperdos glued to their hands or in the background during every walk and picnic

Norma27 · 27/04/2020 14:50

Yawn is back in her size 14s apparently. Of course.
And again a photo taken from above. I wonder why.

Spongebobette · 27/04/2020 15:44

This, a small section of a post by Homeschool, is a window into her world of spin and lies:

I’m now feeling on top of the world everything has aligned and fallen into place. Makes me realised how unhappy I had been for the last 4 years with doing something that I was not in love with anymore

  1. So ALL her posts over the last 4 years saying how happy she was and how wonderful Forever Living is were lies.
  1. She was declared bankrupt in November. Everything has ‘aligned’??
Spongebobette · 27/04/2020 15:52

Hmmm Mr creepy as fuck Homeschool claims to have been in ‘2 abusive marriages’ before this one.

CaroleFuckingBaskin · 27/04/2020 15:55

What is home schools new biz?

CodenameVillanelle · 27/04/2020 16:26

She's flogging 'belly fat burning' chocolate flavoured gloop. I googled the ingredients and the 'fat burning' one does seem to have some evidence to support the claim but not in the sense that it could actually 'melt fat' - it might slightly increase weight loss in a calorie controlled diet. Like any diet product it's mostly placebo and only works if the person is dieting anyway. It is 100% not responsible for her apparent Weight loss.

YouokHun · 27/04/2020 16:26

Yes I read to the end of Mr Homeschool’s website. Some very sad things in there for which I am truly sorry for him and his family. However the stuff about two abusive marriages does make me wonder given the manipulative way he sells his “therapeutic method” for self esteem improvement. It makes me think of people who say “everyone around me is a narcissist” and you just know they’re the common denominator. Besides I can imagine him encouraging Mrs HS to keep on her destructive path of “all is wonderful and my self esteem is really really high”. The lack of authenticity in that must be causing her some emotional problems and deep seated conflicts.

@CaroleFuckingBaskin Modere (amazingly well obscured considering how great it is supposed to be).

Spongebobette · 27/04/2020 16:36

Yes well put, I think it's emotionally abusive to encourage the whole 'I am happy NOW but I have never been before' thing which she does.

MR Creepy has 2 sons from his previous marriages … presumably he has to pay child support, how does that all work I wonder. Private clients from his self esteem programme must pay him a lot.

Bluewavescrashing · 27/04/2020 18:01

Modere looks quite slick but it is Neways in new packaging.

I watched a YouTube video showing a VHS of a business presentation from Neways about a year ago. I can't remember where it was linked to me but it was incredibly cheesy, dated and naive. I'd love to see it again if anyone knows where it is. Back in the day, biz reps would drive miles to somebody's house to give a presentation of the biz, usually with a flip chart. VHS videos could be posted to prospects. It's just so cringe!

acatcalledjohn · 27/04/2020 18:23

Besides I can imagine him encouraging Mrs HS to keep on her destructive path of “all is wonderful and my self esteem is really really high”.

Marriage number three...common denominator and all that.
