Do I have a P60?

I have been asked for it but can't find it anywhere. Am usually quite good at keeping things like that and know I wouldn't have thrown it away. Should I have one? Does everyone? Or only if you're employed at the time? I was between jobs at the end of the tax year.

You can get the info from your last payslip if you don't have a P60. Is it for your tax return?

southeatsastras · 12/09/2007 18:25

you get one once a year with payslips usually

Thanks v much both. So if I was between jobs on the once a year issue date I wouldn't have got one?

not necessarily (as you weren't employed at the end of the year - if you normally get a P11D you should have got a P60 but otherwise, they may not have done you one)

you should have got a P45 from them though

you can request a P60 (from the employer)

Thanks, fis. I can't remember getting one so I think you could be right. Have never heard of a P11D.
