Extra tax credits due to corona

Due to corona tax credits are due to increase. As were now in new tax year I was expecting payment to start but my online statement is still showing the same payments as it did a few weeks ago. Does anyone know when the increase is due to start?

@Windyatthebeach and @HoolaCoola I've emailed my housing over this and they say they are aware of the issue , they are waiting for the software to be installed and tested and that any underpayment will be settled up.
The extra is an allowance set by government until early April 2021.

Oh that's encouraging!!. Smile

Can I just ask, i know its easier renewing online but does it get renewed quicker if you call them? Last year I waited 5 months for it to renew and then one day I got a message saying my payments had been stopped. I called them immediately and she was saying I hadn't renewed. Luckily I had my confirmation email to prove I had. She took the details over the phone and a few hours later it was done. Do most renew online or over the phone?

I think you’d probably be stuck waiting for a really long time if you tried calling?

I’m allowed to renew mine online now, but I’m not sure what to say about my hours? I’m furloughed so obviously that decreases my income but I don’t know for how long! Would you put that in?

It is much quicker if completed online.

I'm furloughed too. I asked my Boss if he could give me an indication of when I will be returning to work. He said definitely not until June at least but maybe longer depending on the business. It worried me really as the longer it goes on I do worry about my job security longterm.
Anyway, in part of my renewal it does say to inform them if my income for this year falls below a certain figure, so I am undecided if I should let them know too. The extra TC would help, however I always worry about being left with an overpayment when renewal comes around (as for some reason I always seem too despite having no changes). Two months on furlough though will take me under the bracket so going by the letter I do need to inform them.
I've renewed online now but will give them a call anyway as I need to ask if I need to send them proof of my pension payments again

I have not had any tax credits for over a year due to me starting a second evening job. In the last few weeks I have received £10.00 wonder if this is why.
