Hi all,
I wanted to ask about the new overdraft change that’s taking place on 6th April. I have an overdraft with halifax set at £1600 and I’ve used £1400 and get daily fees charge of £2.37 but I’m slowly paying it off every week but would be able pay majority of it off by April 20th. After 6th April for the 39.9% EAR would I need to pay from the first day of using my overdraft or would it Be from 6th April.
Also after 6th April do I still pay for my daily fees for the £1400 I used from my overdraft

Please help me regarding this I would really appreciate it.

Is the 39.9% not instead of the existing daily fees? If you are overdrawn on 6th then fees will apply from that day

So from the 6th April do I pay daily fees charge or the 39.9% starts from that day as I will be overdrawn that day until the 20th April .
Thank you for replying.

From the 6th April you will move away from the current daily fee and instead you will get charged interest on the balance each day. It is charged on the actual balance of the account each day and will continue each day until the overdraft is paid off
