Hello! Would appreciate any advice on this!
I'm currently working in the Cabinet Office and have been for the past 6 months. I am pregnant with a due date of end of Sept, by which time i would have worked for CO for over a year. Before working for CO I worked for Department for Education for 14 months.
However, I've been offered an interview for a promotion at BEIS and I don't know whether to go ahead because if I get offered the job I would have only been in role for 6 months (April - end of Sept) before having to take mat leave. Does anyone know whether mat leave service transfers across departments? I've been working for Civil service for a total of 28 months by the time I'd take mat leave but don't know whether it would only count as 6 months for mat leave in which case I wouldn't qualify for full mat leave, if that makes sense. Has anyone had any experience of this?
