should I ask my ex for more than what CSA is stating as I don’t feel it’s enough

he’s 25 and he earns about £1700 a month still living at home with his mum and doesn’t have much to pay out at all apart from car, phone and £80 rent to his mum, I think £300 a month to me is what I should be getting, CSA says about £230/240?

You can always ask (particularly if you Co-parent well) but he doesn't have to give you more. The calculations are not based on his rent/outgoings.
