Dont recognise this direct debit

Going to call the bank tomorrow about this but just wanted to see if anyone recognised this

I've just noticed a pending direct debit for £4.99 coming from my account with the reference '1 People Monthly'.

No idea what is it and only signed up for 1 other new direct debit that's also coming out for another amount. Cant find anything on the internet about it

Could it be a free offer you signed up for is ending and you are now being charged - Spotify, gaming, subscription to magazine, or something

For some reason my google brings up The Times subscription?

Arnold I saw that aswell and it confused me. Apart from the other direct debit that's come out I've not signed up for anything new at all!

Check with your bank tomorrow. If it's still not clear, cancel the direct debit.

They will then contact you to say your DDM has been cancelled and you can then decide if it's something you want and if so, you can then reinstate the DDM.

In my experience, it's better to do it this way than try and claim the money back if it's an error.
