Universal Credit

I have my meeting this morning for universal credit, I work but I am on maternity at the moment. From a few google searches it looked like people only have the initial meeting if they are looking for a job? Is this right? I'm just unsure what they are going to ask me at this appointment. Thank you.

Ahh okay thank you! What is the meeting for? Is it just to see documents?

Everyone has the meeting. It's an ID check. Take ID, bank details, proof of rent, etc.
They also go through the claimant commitment with you and what they expect from you.

If joint claim, partner has to go also.

You’ll not need to attend another meeting if you’re going back to work more than 30hrs. Plus you’ll be put into the no work related requirements group if your child is under one. I work with UC.

Initial appointment is basically to get your is verified. You’ll be in and out in 10 minutes
