Pension

I have very limited (basically none) knowledge when it comes to pensions. My partner checked his nest account month by month and compared it to his pay slip and what it stated was taken for his pension. These figures don't match for any of the months. The figure on the payslip is more than the amount given to nest. Why would this happen please?

It's a bit hard to say without being able to see the payslips or the NEST wording. Can you give us some examples? Pension contributions will include the employee's, along with the tax relief claimed on them, and the employer's. Are you seeing all of these elements in both places?

If he's still not sure, he should speak to someone in payroll who will know what goes into NEST.
