Power Of Attorney being abused

Hi,

The Citizens' Advice Bureau can help. When I had a stroke I gave a family member an Enduring Power of Attorney and the CAB were able to have it revoked but every organization it has been presented to has to receive it. My private pension provider were told that only my attorney could have access to my pension and that they were to deny that they had it to anyone else, even me. They only freed my pension when they received the Order of Revocation. Fortunately my bank were rather more helpful.

The Office of the Public Guardian had no power as the EPA wasn't registered with them.

Technically I think it was fraud.

Phil.
