Child Maintenance help

Hello,
Looking for some advice or help. Will keep it short. I went through CMS 3 years ago to claim payments for maintenance. At the ex was at uni and so working PT and earning just over 8k and so CM was calculated on this wage (fair enough). Fast forward 3 years and hes had 2 wage rises and earns triple the amount he was originally paid. Yet CMS are still using the original 8k wage. In the letter it states as this isn't 25% more than the initial amount, they'd be using the 8k figure. Umm... what? I'm not really understanding this because its clearly more. Anyone else had this issue?

Any help is appreciated.

Have you requested a reassessment. Cms can go through HMRC to see what his earnings are if he doesn't want to give them the information

Although they are completely ineffective. They do try to be helpful over the phone I find.
