Can someone explain what this is and what it entails in basic English? 😂 I have aspergers and feel lost in the main threads, I just can’t work it out what you’re all doing.

I’ve done matched betting in the past, made £2200 altogether from that but I’ve lost my way with it and need something else quite desperately

Hello @shanny81

The thread is basically about trying to make money at home using various different methods including match betting. We share ideas and ask for help. Here is a link to one of the earlier threads:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/legal_money_matters/3680934-september-earn-10-a-day-thread

The second post contains a list of all the different companies that some of us use. It can be daunting so once you go through them, you can always ask questions on the main thread. We are a friendly bunch and someone will help.

Do you have a better link for Appen Global? It goes to a log in page with no indication of how to register. I’ve registered on the other Appen.
Thanks

Hi I would like to join Appen but I wonder if I am suitable. They make it sound as if you need to be a social media ace and I suppose I just use Facebook now and again to keep in touch with friends. I use the internet widely of course in business and for my own entertainment. I have an english degree and do a demanding job but do you need to be anything special to do their projects? Any particular age? Not sure what to put on a CV. What type of things are they looking for? Do you think its possible that I would be accepted? What is the exam like? Any help, much appreciated.

@user1486472583 nope! You certainly don't have to be, though it helps to be on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter, as some projects depend on you using them. So for example, you might be asked to rate ads you see on your Twitter feed. All you really need for Appen is common sense Smile

As for your CV, the selection process is very random. I think all they really want to see is a good grasp of English. Some projects target certain age groups. The exams vary, some projects you just sign up and others there's a test based on guidelines they provide you with. So the answers are in theory 'in front of you' but they can still be tricky. I hope that helps a bit! There's absolutely no harm in applying. Lionbridge and Isoftstone are similar, and worth looking at too.

OP, it is a bit hard to get your head around the later threads! I'm trying to get a decent list together for the start of the new year so it feels a bit easier for everyone. How much are you looking to earn and how much time do you have? That's a good starting point for helping you find something Smile

If you select your country, that should take you through to registering as an agent.
