Splitting finances - not divorced

Hi,
Looking for some advice.

Husband and I have separated however not going through divorce. He has purchased his own home, however our marital home is in my sole name. I have agreed to sell the house and give him the deposit that he gifted to me at the time of purchase.

Legally can I just gift this back the same way in which he gifted to me?

Thanks

This is not a question for a random Internet forum where you cannot check anyone’s credentials - with no disrespect to the incredibly knowledgeable professionals who do take their time to reply on some threads.

You need to take this one to a solicitor. Do not start splitting assets in a “separated not divorced” (so: married, basically) willy nilly way. You need to understand the full picture of your assets and negotiate on these as a whole.
