Maternity Pay - Need advice!

I'm on maternity leave at the moment...and have just found out I'm pregnant. YIKES!!!

Absolutely terrified but sort of excited. Odd feeling. Anyhoo.

I'm going back to work on the 5th January....so here's my pickle. I'm going back part time and working 12 hours a week. I won't be bringing in an awful lot of money...but there is a small company bonus which will top up my wages to just over what my MA gives me now. Not much but livable with my partners wage.

When I go on maternity leave....am I right in thinking my entitlement next time around will be lower? Because I'm part time and not full time, like I was with my last pregnancy?

Under the impression that my maternity pay would be 90% of what I'd 'normally' earn. If that's the case...could I get away with going full time a couple months before I go on maternity leave again, so I get the full entitlement? Or that illegal?!

Your 90% part is determined by your wages in week 17-25 of pregnancy so if you wanted to do extra hours those are the weeks you should aim to do them in.
