reclaiming bank charges from halifax & just got this letter

basically, this letter says that since i wrote to them the bank has become involved in legal proceedings with the office of fair trading on bank charges. this will apparently resolve the legal issues about the fairness and legality of bank charges. they have assured me that my complaint has been stored and registered and once the legal proceedings finish they will deal with my complaint.

has anybody else received a letter like this - is this just another way of the bank dragging this out?

if the OFT find that the charges are not lawful will everyone have to claim or should the bank simply repay?

great
so its just a waiting game then. might as well resign myself to the fact that the money is long gone

forsale - i dont know, they say my claim has been registered and will be resolved as soon as the ruling comes thgough so i wouldnt imagine i would have to reclaim from the start again?

I think they are keeping the complaints on the system, and will start resolving them when the test case is finished
