What was the reasoning behind marking the bank notes?

ilovesprouts · 05/12/2019 21:10

Because i had a feeling someone had been in my purse so,marked the notes to see if anymore went when same person was in my home and the marked note had gone.

Surely marking the notes is of no use, unless they're passed back to you by the person that pinched them?
Maybe you need some type of cctv/camera thingy for absolute proof.

Berrylove · 05/12/2019 21:39

I think if you know who it is just confront them about it, yes you can’t actually prove anything but I doubt you’ll need to when they realise you know. Money stealing is the worst.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 06/12/2019 11:20

But how would you know that the marked notes were in that persons possession?

Better to hide your purse when certain people visit. Its what I have to do, unfortunately :(

ilovesprouts · 06/12/2019 11:31

Ive confronted them they say they have not done it but they was the ONLY person in my home as i went outside to talk to my grandson they left i checked my purse and more money had gone.

To be honest if you suspect someone of doing this then always just hide your purse. Trying to trap them means you'll lose even more money.

Do you HAVE to have them in your home?

ilovesprouts · 07/12/2019 12:40

The person has finally admitted they took the cash because they dint have much money to buy xmas presents for there kids and yes it was a close family member im so mad if they would of asked id of lent it but to steal it thats wrong you dont steal of family x
