I can't believe this has been going for nearly a year! I feel rather emotional Blush

I'll pop the list up in a second for any newcomers.

Here's to a fantastic December, and bolstered bank balances for January!

Very greatful for these threads @Otterses has made a huge difference to my life not just cash wise but mentally. I was in despair of how i could work with health issues and a child with sen so this has saved my life!! (And christmas)

Has anyone else on appen crescent had problems logging in today? When i try and log into uhrs it says account expired (i can get into appen normal ok)

AdaShelby · 02/12/2019 09:46

Ottersea you'll never know how grateful I am to you for starting these.

DH hasn't been able to work much as he has been ill, and I've had to step up.

I made £775 on crisp last month and did that while caring for the DCs, him and running a house (crazy dogs etc)

I also made £40 on prolific so Christmas is back on at my house Grin

Thank you Thanks

lynsey91 · 02/12/2019 09:46

@rhij86 what's the name of the new project on appen? Doesn't seem to be coming up for me

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 09:52

@lynsey91 it's called Pecwan - DI, it's a UHRS task as opposed to the usual social media one that a lot of the others seem to be

lynsey91 · 02/12/2019 09:54

@rhij86 thanks. It is there! I might try and apply although never really have any joy with appen

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 09:58

@lynsey91 I would - something is bound to come through at some point!

Hi all, this is a very inspiring thread and I have been following for a while. I wonder if anyone can help me with appen? I have completed two applications I think, one where I had to send a CV (appen agent). I log in and it just says thank you for your interest, only those under consideration will be contacted. Another was appen global and when I log in it says I am not assigned any projects and to fill out my account profile, which I've done. I wonder if it just takes time or if I'm not a suitable candidate. I've looked on reddit, but couldn't find any explanations. Just wondered if anyone here can help? Thanks

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 10:35

@catatemyhomework how long ago did you submit your CV etc to Appen? As I understand it they aren't looking for any particular type of person to sign up, as you have to apply for each project once 'employed' by appen and they will then select based on whatever criteria each project has.

CatHopeful · 02/12/2019 10:44

There's some jawdropping amounts on here!

Last month I did £750 on Crisp and about $70 on Appen.

I'm hoping that once the Appen payment hits Payoneer, I might actually be allowed to withdraw it as I'll be over the $50 minimum. In total that would mean that I'd have just over $100 of Appen funds to add to the £750.

The long term project I was accepted on to does still have work I believe, need to check, so I am going to make a real effort to get back in to it. Am just a bit sulky about Appen because they haven't picked me for anything I want to do, they picked me for the recent listening one and I failed the qualification exam and I just don't understand why, and the one project I am on, I feel like I am not confident doing the work as the guidelines are so obscure.

I think December totals will be down, just because of Christmas and family committments in December/New Year.

I'd love to consistently be hitting around the £1000 mark like some of you are doing. Better make my peace with Appen then!

Catatemyhomework · 02/12/2019 11:05

rhij86 thanks for your reply. It was only last week to be honest so I might be jumping the gun! I just confused by the two different logins. One was definitely a more formal route where I had to submit my CV and the other was a short profile to complete, just about personal details and language proficiency. It didn't ask for education or qualifications or anything. When I log into either, I just get a message saying that I will be contacted if something comes up for my suitability but won't hear if there isn't anything. I don't get to see a dashboard, which is what I thing others on here talk about, so no links to projects. Actually, I did look at microtasks and saw noyo, but when I tried to sign in, it said I already have an account and to login. I did this and the dashboard was not visible again. Maybe it all just takes time and they need to approve me first or something?

MynameisJune · 02/12/2019 11:10

Hi all, happy December!

Hopefully one of you can help me with Appen. I was invited to do and passed the cwood test. Signed all the paperwork and now can’t access anything on appen even my dashboard. I’ve just got a notice saying thanks for doing the paperwork we’ll finalise your registration soon.

Does that mean once that’s happened I’ll be able to get back into my dashboard? @lannister is this what happened to you?

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 11:24

@Catatemyhomework if it was towards the end of last week it's probably just a timing issue at the moment. They're based in California so 8 hours behind us anyway, plus they've had thanksgiving last week. It definitely took a few days to a week for me to hear back after submitting my CV.

Once they've reviewed and you're accepted you'll then be able to see the dashboard and start applying for projects etc.

From what I understand Appen Global has been merged in with the other one now, so the micro tasks are all included on the main Appen site. Most people don't bother with appen global at all, I've not even signed up.

@MynameisJune were you signed up to Appen before that, or was that the very first thing you did? I 'signed up' by applying for the Noyo project... I then filled out all paperwork etc and then could not access anything including the dashboard until they'd reviewed my application and taken me on. Once this was done I could see everything again. If you were already on appen previously before applying to cwood I've got no idea sorry Confused

MynameisJune · 02/12/2019 11:27

@rhij86 CWood is my first project, haven’t done anything with Appen before if that’s what you mean?

MoreMoneyPlease · 02/12/2019 11:29

Some of the totals on here are just amazing! Crisp sounds wonderful, I will keep my fingers crossed for that one. I need to keep better records of what I'm earning, I've had to go through all my emails to find these figures Blush. Anyway, my Nov earnings:

Appen £541.00
Click Workers £3.84
Intellizoom £38
Neevo £93
Roamler £12.50

Total is £688.34 (less any fees) which is easily my best month - thank you Appen and thank you to @Otterses and all of you for your inspiration!

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 11:32

@MynameisJune yes so did you sign up with Appen and apply for cwood at the same time? Or had you already completed your contract paperwork with appen previously?

If you signed up brand new when you applied to cwood then I would imagine the delay will be because they're reviewing your contract paperwork etc and will be back in touch soon. It can take a few days, adding to the fact there's a time difference and also they had Thanksgiving etc last week . Hopefully you hear soon

Catatemyhomework · 02/12/2019 11:36

Thanks rhij86, that makes me feel more hopeful now. I thought I had just been discarded!! Was the original message you got after replying something along the lines of We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted, etc? I say this because my CV probably doesn't look relevant for a lot of the jobs, although I do have a science degree and have worked in IT in the past. I just wonder why you need to send a CV if previous experience / qualifications aren't relevant. I do hope they pick me! Grin

Catatemyhomework · 02/12/2019 11:41

sorry meant applying not replying

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 11:46

@catatemyhomework yes I've just looked through my emails.
I applied to them on a Thursday morning. I had that email back (with that exact wording) at lunchtime on the Thursday. I then had an email asking me to review and complete their contract a day or two later (sent overnight, when they were in the office).

MynameisJune · 02/12/2019 11:47

@rhij86 I applied to Appen got accepted and had a dashboard where I could apply for projects. Applied for a few and cwood came back first. Once I’d passed the test I had to sign a load more paperwork, and that’s where it is stuck. So I’m hoping it’s just waiting for them to review it and then my account will be released.

Catatemyhomework · 02/12/2019 11:55

Thank you so much for your reply rhij86. I am more hopeful now. I think it was the latter end of the week when I applied. It's good to hear you got the same message as me. Hopefully they will come back to me soon!

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 11:57

@MynameisJune @catatemyhomework hopefully you both hear back soon! fingers crossed

rhij86 · 02/12/2019 12:27

For anyone on an appen project where the invoice is auto generated - have your hours for last week been added yet? I was expecting it to go on overnight but perhaps it will be tonight instead as yesterday was Sunday?

SNISR · 02/12/2019 12:50

Lots of €4.50 surveys on clickworker today.

spookyaction · 02/12/2019 12:53

Help!

Just did half an hour in appen, first time
But it think I was in the training queue in SRT?!i assume I can't log this nor get paid for it?

Buster27 · 02/12/2019 13:32

@spookyaction You do get paid for the training queues AFAIK.

Not sure what to set my target at this month. I have a lot on so may struggle to put in as many hours as I'd like, so I'm going to say at least £500, but ideally £750.
