Just after some advice about the best bank account to open for my DS.
I know there are junior ISA but i’m not sure how i feel about not being able to access the money until they are 18. Not that i would use the money but I feel it would be good to have the option of say he needed a wee computer of something for school etc.

I used money saving supermarket to camp are, and both my kids now have regular savers with Halifax. I need to find a better interest rate now as at the end of each year the regular saver is shifted to a standard kids account and a new year is started. The standard rate is a bit crap but I think they rely on inertia that people don’t bother moving!

Like you, I like the reassurance that if the world went to hell I could get the money if I needed to.
