Universal credit : online calculators?

A dear friend of mine is trying to get up the courage to leave her horrid, horrid husband.

She will likely have to rely on benefits before she can get back on her feet as she has a 2 year old and her previous work experience is mostly of minimum wage jobs.

We have been looking online and using some of the free online UC calculators but despite putting the same info into each one, they are throwing out very different results - and the difference of a few hundred pounds a month.

Anyone know which is the most accurate online calculator, she can't start a claim as she hasn't leave her partner yet, and it feels like a catch 22 because she doesn't want to leave unless she knows she can get herself and her a child a roof over their heads (partner is unlikely to help money wise until he is forced to)

Do they currently rent or would there be a house to sell when they split ?

Turn2us website. Is the one we recommend.

Turn2us or entitledto are the best and generally accurate but to get the most reliable figure she needs an appointment with citizens advice for a full benefit check as they use different software.
