you need to tell them straightaway, ring them you should get through to a case manager on your team if you use the phone associated with your claim. He will be then removed from the first day of your assessment period. It should be sorted out ready for your next payment. Sorry about your split

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place as this is the first time I'm actually posting on this site. I just want some advice about universal credit, my sma is due to end in December just before Christmas and wanted to know when I should apply for universal credits, I'm currently still on maternity leave which ends at the end of March 2020 but I don't think I'll be returning to work as yet. I'm a little worried about sorting out my universal credits especially as it's so close to Christmas, i also wanted to know how long it would take because my rent will be due 2 weeks after my allowance stops.

It takes a minimum of 6 weeks to sort out. I'd wait, but then they might penallise you. The bastards!

littlebunty · 12/11/2019 17:54

why don't you apply and see if you are entitled now. You may be entitled if you fit the criteria worse thing that could happen will be a nil award but a reclaim is easy you just go on and open the claim

Babyroobs · 12/11/2019 17:54

Report a change of circumstances on your journal. it wont long to sort.

Thanks for your help, I think I'll try that and apply now then if it takes so long to sort out
