I put in for a ppi claim, on the 19th Aug (online via the banks website) on the deadline date and haven’t heard anything back as yet. To be honest, I don’t think anything will come of it and realise that a lot of claims would have been made then so there will be a huge backlog. Just wondering though, has anyone that has put in a claim around that date heard anything? I didn’t even get an email confirmation or anything so I’m even wondering if my claim was actually received.

You'd be best to contact them and check they've received it. I put in very late claims for a relative and every one got an email acknowledgement. Most have replied by now too.

I heard back from Santander only recently. However they could not locate the account on my various addresses/dob as I was expecting. On rummaging through an old folder I have realised the account was in dh name with cards issued in both names. If I send the statement in will they now reject it on basis it was not in my name and I made the claim.

I put in a claim on the deadline date too, to Barclays. They've written to me a few times to let me know they're still investigating. I had a fourth letter last week to say they've identified I had PPI on two old mortgages and need to do some further investigation before I get their final response. They've been very good at keeping me informed. If you've heard nothing at all I'd contact them.

Barclays are still checking for me too although it must be over a month since my last letter from them.

Rang back with account number and they could check it even though mine was not the lead name, still a no though.
