Boiler service?

Such a boring question, but does everyone get their boiler serviced?
Mine is about 6 years old, I think I only got it serviced in the first year - then I've forgotten.

Is it worth doing? How much is it?

Just had new boiler installed and will get it serviced every year just like we did the old one.
Mainly for safety reasons and less likely to have major fault and have the thing declared unsafe and switched off.
Local engineer who installed new one will service it for £50, prices can go up to about £100 or thereabouts.

We do, but only because fil is a gas engineer so if he comes round he'll take a look at it.

Gas or electric ?

If it's gas you should get a proper gas inspection who has the proper insurance should anything go wrong yearly

People have died by using their friend or family who have non valid gas inspection licences
