Hi all. Smile
I’ve set up Direct pay. Ex had to pay £7 on 3rd October.
He works but CM have gone off the last tax year and not present wages.
He finds it funny he only got asked to pay £7 and even then hasn’t paid it.
Every month or so he sends the kids £5 (like an Uncle would) pocket money and it makes me so angry, like he’s trying to buy them instead of supporting them.
The kids (12 and 15) choose not to see him at the moment.
I’m happy to sack him off and fully support them myself but feel he shouldn’t get away with failing his responsibilities.
My question is, is it possible to make him pay a reasonable amount or do I now have to wait for the next tax year?

Is it £7 a month? Why does he pay that amount?

Did you go through child maintenance for this? If not you may get more through them

Oops didn’t see your Q at the bottom. No don’t have to wait contact child maintenance they’ll sort it for you to see how much you can claim off him

Thanks for your reply Leah, I will get in touch with child support again today then.

£7 pw for two children. CS has gone off last years tax when he wasn't working, even though he's working now he only has to pay £7.

If he is now working or earning more money your child payments need reviewing so hopefully you’ll get more. £7 isn’t going to go along way bless you
