My accountants have put £40k into my bank account in error!!!!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble smelly, but I am pretty sure the law is that if you know it is an error, you must give it back, or something along those lines. I'm sure someone will know the detail, but don't start digging out your pool and getting your cossie on yet...

Is it an interest bearing account? You'll be able to keep the interest if so, on the average current account that should be at least 2p.

omg but don't spend it just read an article in a magazine of a woman who ia facing jail who spent £20,000 her bank put in her account by mistake!
