I want to clear my overdraft and build up a safety net. My earnings are just not quite enough.

I think you could easily make that by selling things you no longer use/need on Ebay

I’ve got a few items listed, but have nearly run out of things to sell and don’t buy as much as I used to!

Evening job at a pub or elsewhere. Sure thing.

See if you can get a money transfer interest free credit card balance transfer. USe that to pay off the overdraft and then pay off the credit card. You might need to balance transfer again if the interest free period runs out before you pay it off, but if you're not paying overdraft interest and charges, this frees up money to pay the balance off.

Once you've paid off your overdraft, transfer your bank account to one of the accounts that pays £150 to move to them.

Have you done a proper budget, and can you cut costs anywhere?

See if you can get a money transfer interest free credit card balance transfer.

They often have an initial transfer fee and then are interstate's free for the fixed term. Unless the overdraft is unauthorised the rate may well be much less than an interest free card
