Really?
Monzo isn't a scam, it's a legit bank. I use it (but not as my main account) and they are doing a £5 referral thing I think. It was quite pathetic to see broke begging his friends to sign up just to get a slow trickle of fivers but it's not a scam.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 17/10/2019 20:28

I don't think it's a scam, @CodenameVillanelle, I believe they are a regulated financial institution, but they are, at best, providing a shite service. Hopefully nothing more sinister than being unable to manage rapid growth...

More to the point was that anything Broke touches turns to shite.

BSintolerant · 17/10/2019 20:29

Aceh would be a nice place for Broke to visit. Grin

Rip Off Britain was an eye-opener. That poor woman who lost her savings! How awful.

Gotmychocolateimgood · 17/10/2019 20:39

PHD thinks she is a numbers geek. I'm too tired to explain why this doesn't make sense but it is completely flawed, right?

*The scarcity mindset in Network Marketing has to STOP 🛑

For too long the message has been “there is not enough.”

🙄 Month long battles between people over a single prospect because people don’t think there are enough people to go around (just a reminder that there are 7.7 billion and counting).

🙄 Being told to speak to anyone with a pulse (the spray and pray approach) instead of focusing on teaching QUALITY MARKETING and communication techniques and the mentality that there are MORE THAN ENOUGH of your dream biz partners and clients to go around.

🙄 Too much emphasis on finding new people and not nearly enough emphasis on retention and community. The constant anxiety around trying to fill a bucket with water when it’s full of holes CAN be avoided. I truly believe that.

🙄 Fear and bullying when someone decides to move to a new company or when people think they are losing a team member.

🙄 Bad mouthing or outright lying about other companies to stop team from migrating over.

🙄 The belief that there is only one way to do something and if someone tries to stray from that then they are excluded and pushed away.

As an ambassador for the industry I am so saddened by seeing people scarred by their experiences within NM because of this scarcity mentality.

To earn the very TOP income in most companies might require you to grow a team close to 100,000 people but that still only requires you to grow a team that makes up 0.001 of the whole population.

Remembering that a team of 100,000 is likely to grow out of a personal recruitment number of around 200. So actually, you just need 0.000003% of the population.

(I’m a numbers geek can you tell 🤓)

Do you think you can find 200 ideal business partners in 7.7 billion people without freaking out when a prospect joins a different company or says no? I think you can.

There are MORE than enough people out there for you to be able to grow the NM income and team of your dreams.

You CAN speak only to ideal biz partners and grow a dreamy community of like minded people.

You don’t need to feel that constant anxiety to speak to anyone within three feet of you. The man who works at the local fish and chip shop probably isn’t ideal is he babe? So stop giving him your business card 🙈

Network Marketing leaders…it’s time to shift into the ABUNDANCE mindset, lead the way and be the example for our teams 🙌🏻*

Spongebobette · 17/10/2019 20:44

OMG I did not know about the EDL connection

He really is a grade A tosser

Twentytwentyhindsight · 17/10/2019 21:11

Each time Broke has reactivated previous accounts because he has had yet another FB ban, I have scrolled back (mainly in a vain attempt to tote up the number of pyramid schemes he's accumulated over the years), and discovered some pretty damning Islamophobic comments.

He explicitly outed himself as a former EDL tosspot in a comment in a post a while back, remembering what a 'laugh' it all was terrorising people, but I can't remember which of the accounts it would have been on.

Jonsey32 · 17/10/2019 22:54

Has he locked his fb down today or has he been suspiciously quiet? Is he in fb jail again?
I can’t see anything since last night.

Whiterangey · 17/10/2019 23:42

Has he got another ban? He's not posted for 24 hours.

acatcalledjohn · 17/10/2019 23:46

And of those 7.7 billion:

25% underage
20% elderly/infirm/mentally disabled
30% wise to this shit
20% too poor/remote tribes etc

That leaves 5% of the population. Or 385 million people.

There were 6400 FLP reps in the UK in 2016. If they all had teams of 200 that would be 1.28 million people.

That's one MLM in only one country.

You'd soon run out.

You can tell her PHD isn't in maths or common sense.

I'm not a numbers geek, but at least I fucking understand the basics AND the bigger picture.

Gotmychocolateimgood · 18/10/2019 04:38

Yes @acatcalledjohn and if you are competing with teamies pyramid style to recruit you won't last long until you've run out of people.

Thanks for articulating what I was trying to say. I've woken up with a banging headache and can't get back to sleep now. This cold can do one!

Gotmychocolateimgood · 18/10/2019 04:40

Isn't it true that there can only be 13 layers in any pyramid scheme before you run out of people in the entire world?

That's not even filtering out those who aren't eligible to work in the first place.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 18/10/2019 05:09

It would depend on the number of recruits required for each person involved, but yes, it is of that order.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 18/10/2019 08:04

Broke could be back in hospital?

SSDGM · 18/10/2019 08:50

He could be, let’s be fair he seems pretty manic. I remember the night he slept in New Street Station in Birmingham because he couldn’t afford a hotel (or thought he would get lucky and share someone’s bed for the night) it was one of the coffee mlms - the one that soon got shut down before it got off the ground.
I can’t remember if this was before or after he found the magic mushrooms coffee and pretended he stopped taking all his meds because of it.

I still think the Travel Agent saga was the funniest. He couldn’t even pass the tests to do that.

And his cries of “pity me” over the fact he had children removed from him by social services in the past. That’s quite an achievement in being a pretty crap human being.

No sympathy. There are better people out there for me to be concerned over.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 18/10/2019 09:06

I'm with you SSDGM. He's got twins he's not allowed to see, and his first child with the mother of the rest of his children was removed from them and not returned. She seems to have turned things around, works and keeps a roof over the kids' heads and from what I can see has significant health issues. He won't even get a job.

acatcalledjohn · 18/10/2019 09:31

But why would you be Just Over Broke when you can be Broke like a boss chasing 'opportunities'?

9dartfinish2nd · 18/10/2019 09:58

@gotmychocolateimgood

Yes, based on the first person recruiting 5 people then each person below doing the same. You exceed the population of the fucking planet after 13 levels.

9dartfinish2nd · 18/10/2019 10:05

Im hoping the Anti MLM movement starts to recognise more and more the destructive effect that ex-huns turned Life Coaches/mentors are having on people who are already emotionally damaged after their MLM experience. Paying these scam artists hundreds of pounds to be told it was down to you is borderline criminal.

SSDGM · 18/10/2019 14:33

Ah, spoke too soon. Broke is back and as arrogant as ever.

SSDGM · 18/10/2019 16:34

A bot signed up to Sacked By Ariiiiiix’s Mermaid MLM is causing a stink on MLM Lies Exposed. Someone signed up a person with Alzheimer’s and is not demanding the sign up fee from them. Their upline is being all beautifully passive aggressive on the thread too.

But still this Bot who is complaining about the bullying is staying with RevitalU because the products are really great and a great price. 🙄

Gotmychocolateimgood · 18/10/2019 17:15

Uber is claiming she's had 3 years off to bring up her daughter and has just bought a designer handbag in Paris to celebrate getting back on the motivational speaking stage. #mumpreneur #lyingthroughmyteeth

Whiterangey · 18/10/2019 17:28

That is a lot of drama.

I had a look at her profile, as the dementia story is on there. If the lady does have dementia it is terrible. Noticed comments saying you can't discriminate if someone has dementia so if they want to join you have to let them, or words to that effect.

People in the early stages of dementia can usually work and lead normal lives with maybe a little support. How the hell are you meant to know what kind of capacity to consent someone with dementia has online? If someone has signed someone up with dementia, that is so very wrong, it's possible they don't have that capacity to consent. I can read and understand things I sign up for, if I sign up for something shite then it's on me.

A sign up is a sign up, so why not hit up those with dementia.

Whiterangey · 18/10/2019 17:38

Brokes back and he's going to get a fast track passport.

Didn't someone say this will be his first passport? I thought you can't get a fast tracked passport for your first one?

Lunde · 18/10/2019 17:59

I wonder if Broke's Indonesia venture is going to be like that episode of Miranda where the furthest he gets is the Bali Travelodge down the road!

Twentytwentyhindsight · 18/10/2019 18:33

I seem to remember Broke reminiscing about his one and only ever trip abroad (I think it was either Greece or Turkey) a while back. The context was that whatever the latest pyramid scheme he'd joined, he would soon be able to jet around the world on his passive income. So he probably has had a passport in the past.

If he does apply for a work visa, would he have to disclose any previous convictions?
