Boring maternity allowance question

My maternity ends October 24th and I will be going back to work. I get maternity allowance every two weeks. Ive just called to check the date and amount of my final payment and she said I have one payment left and it won't be the full two weeks worth. But that would make it mid October leaving me several weeks without income.
I thought it was paid in arrears, I'm just doubting myself now but on the other hand hoping she's made a mistake. I thought I would receive final payment after leave had ended not before. I can't remember from previous times.
Am I wrong or is she? Lol

I finished work at the end of January

Yes I do.
I've just been through all of my stuff and I think I've figured it out now. I'll call them again though and ask for a specific finish date as she said she had no idea and also thought I'd been paid yesterday even though it's not due until next week lol.

Haha unfortunately he had an accident at work a while ago so I've been doing a juggling act for all of us. But I'm happy to support him until we are both back to a normal routine

Sounds right to me. My maternity started 20th jan and my last payment is end of this month (paid monthly).
