Hi I’m a single mother to a 3 year old boy I work 25 hours a week and I’m pregnant with my second child my question is I’ve worked for 2 years in the same job will I receive maternity allowance of work is it £149 a week? I’m unsure how it all works it’s a large known company I work for I’ll should receive universal credit as a top up still won’t I with being a single mother thank you

You should receive smp, which is treated the same as wages are with UC. If for some reason you have to claim maternity allowance instead then that is treated differently to smp and is deducted pound for pound from your UC so you don't really end up any better off for claiming it.
