ECO boiler replacement scheme

Wondering is anyone used the ECO government funded scheme for help with getting a new boiler installed?
I found out yesterday our boiler has suddenly died and we have no hot water or heating. I have a disabled dd who has continence issues so we need access to hot running water.
We seem to be eligible for some help according to the websites I've checked, I'm wondering if anyone has used this how long the whole process took?

I’ve looked into it but didn’t proceed for a number of reasons. I was told an engineer had to certify the boiler was beyond repair, and it would be a 12 week wait.

12 weeks is such a long time without water or heating I can see why you decided not to do it if you had another option.

Had someone out this morning and they have luckily managed to fix it, although they said parts aren't often readily available as it is so old so next time it goes they may not be able to sort it.
