Dh and I can't afford to fund ds2. He's 19 and finished college. He has been for apprenticeship interviews but not heard back?

He's also waiting to see if he's getting in the forces.

Is he entitled to universal credit? He's embarrassed to go to the job centre but might have to?

It's all new to me. I left school and worked. More jobs in my day though.

I search for him but he needs to do more himself. He's put a cv in for Christmas work locally at a hotel.

Yes he could apply but he would need to be actively looking for work and for a 19 year old it would only be something like £60/week.

He would need ID and an email address and can apply online, then he would have an interview at the job centre. There is a 5 week wait to get any money.

If he goes on universal credit then he will have to job search a lot as part of his work commitments. If he doesn't, he will get sanctioned. Worth doing though to be honest. He needs to apply online.

Thank you. He's been looking today.

He may as well get in touch with them see what they say?
