Universal Credit - childcare cost help

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows about help towards childcare costs on universal credit. Partner and I want to split and I'm trying to sort out finances. We have a 19 month old and 12 week old so I'm currently on mat leave. I go back on 3 days a week from mid Feb earning around £14k. I've read you can get 85% of childcare costs paid on universal credit. But is this already factored into the child element or is it on top of the child element?

Thanks in advance!

On top of childcare element

It's in addition but you have to pay it in advance and you get it back in arrears.

That's for reply@CTRL That's good news😊 Do you know if there are any conditions you have to meet to get the discount? Or does everyone get it that qualifies for universal credit. This would be such a huge help otherwise not really worth working.

The childcare provider has to be registered so you can claim back costs.
As far as I’m aware as long as you send UC proof of payment it should be fine x

If you get free 15 hours can you still claim for 80% costs back for childcare during the summer holidays, half terms etc? Many thanks, hopefully someone will know...
