I'm looking for ways to earn extra money. I've read some polls about matched betting here but don't seem to understand what it is and if it works Confused

Are there any ways you could recommend that are fairly easy?

Hi OP, I have recently started delivering parcels with Amazon flex, the pay is pretty good, £13 per hour. You use your own car, your capped at 24 hours a week which would be £312 a week. Its good cause you can choose when you work etc. All you need is a car and to download the Amazon flex app from the App Store :)

@Loz90333 hi! Thanks for this, I've downloaded the app but is not letting me create an account. It's coming up with an error even after trying like a thousand times!! Urghh x

@jess24x8 That's strange, maybe try another device. It takes a while to register as they need to do a driving license check and then a DBS check, but then you'll be good to go!

I've been doing it with my partner its a good little second income. Yesterday I had a shift paying £52 for 4 hours, but got it done in 1.5 hours!!

Ps. forgot to mention, you get paid weekly!

mumaw · 01/09/2019 19:28

@Loz90333 can you work whenever you want to or is it set shifts?

Loz90333 · 01/09/2019 20:03

@mumwaw what happens is on the app you get offered certain delivery blocks, you then pick and choose if you can work them.

You can pick the days you work but the time varies....at the depot I work at (Weybridge), shifts often start at 12pm and then the second lot of shifts start at 5:45 - 6:15pm. I've never had any problems getting delivery blocks though.

@Loz90333 Do you have to cover your own petrol costs?x

Loz90333 · 01/09/2019 20:51

You do, but the routes are all close together and deliveries are only usually within streets of one another.

mumaw · 01/09/2019 21:23

@Loz90333 Could you PM me please? It won't let me PM you for some reason x

Wildorchidz · 01/09/2019 21:27

Would you need to inform your insurance company that you are using your car for business purposes?

Loz90333 · 01/09/2019 21:39

I'm not 100% sure if I am being honest, I can imagine you would have too. I think Amazon offer insurance whilst you are driving (I could be wrong).

LotsOfEverything · 10/09/2019 11:40

How are you getting on with Amazon Flex? I have signed up and just waiting on completion of the registration process.

Loz90333 · 12/09/2019 18:53

Its going well, I've been doing it for around two months now and haven't struggled to get any shifts. Its a nice little second earner! Unfortunately the registration process took me about 2 weeks, hopefully not as long for you! :)
