Was wondering as we are very hard up, just by way of a change, and are hoping for a bit of a back payment as I have never claimed in the 2 years we have had kids.

Silly, silly me.

only takes a few weeks normally

can i just say that depending on the level of tax credits you get, you may be entitled to a warm front grant, we just got one and they put in a brand new boiler for us fantastic

you can get grants for heating systems and for insulation on your house etc, we also got loft and cavity wall insulation

If you're sent the form back a few weeks ago, ring them and chase it up. They should push it through then so you get paid this week or maybe next. They may not bother otherwise until the time rolls around to make up the next months payment run.

Can I tell I used to work in accounts payable? .

it took about 4 weeks when we applied for the first time. Although i did phone to chase them as we hadn't heard anything from them and was told it had been action the week before and they were able to tell what payments were and when they would be going into my bank account.

Mines took 2 months so far No money for 8 weeks and its the summer fecking holidays

Wilkie · 07/08/2007 19:17

About 5 weeks - we kept ringing and eventually it turned out they had the wrong date of birth (god forbid they would ring us to let us know this).

They backdate payment to when the child was born but no more than 3 months backdated pay.
